أَرىI see إِلارجافَrumor-mongering مُتصلاًconnected بِندلٍto a scoundrel
وَلابسَand wearing حُلَّتَيthe two robes of كِبرٍpride وَتيهِand conceit
I see rumor-mongering bound to a scoundrel,
And wearing the twin robes of pride and conceit.
وَإِرجافُand the rumor-mongering of العوامِthe common people مقدَّماتٍharbingers
لِأَمرٍof a matter كائِنٍto come لاno شَكَّdoubt فيهِabout it
And the common people's rumors are harbingers
Of something to come—there is no doubt of it.
