وَأَمَّنتَني ثُمَّ عاقَبتَني

وَأَمَّنتَني ثُمَّ عاقَبتَني

فَكانَ أَمانُ أَبي مُسلِمِ

فَكانَ أَمانُ أَبي مُسلِمِ

You granted me safety, then you punished me—

And you granted me safety, then punished me;

for such was Abu Muslim’s pledge of safety.

So it was the safe-conduct of Abu Muslim.
