فَلَوfor if أَنَّthat فيin جَزَعيmy anguish راحَةًrelief
لَأَصبَحتُI would become أَجزَعَthe most distraught مَنthose who يُجزَعُare anguished
For if there were relief in my anguish,
I would become the most distraught of all who are anguished.
سَأَصبِرُI shall be patient جهديas best I can عَلىwith ماwhat تَرىyou see
وَإِنand if عيلَis exhausted صَبريmy patience فَماthen what أَصنَعُI do
I shall endure, as best I can, what you see;
And if my patience is exhausted, what can I do?
