وَاِنصَرَفناand we departed لَمّاwhen تَغَنَّتshe sang عِطاشاًthirsty
وَاِنصَرَفنا لَمّا تَغَنَّت عِطاشاً
وَالقَنانيand the bottles كَماjust as دَخَلناwe entered مِلاءُfull
وَالقَناني كَما دَخَلنا مِلاءُ
And when she sang, we departed thirsty,
When we left as the cups had sung dry of thirst
And the bottles were full, just as when we entered.
And the jugs were as full as when we came in
