إنَّ بناءَ الخَزّانِ أَنهَكَني

إنَّ بناءَ الخَزّانِ أَنهَكَني

وَهدَّ جسمي وَزادَ في سَقَمي

وَهدَّ جسمي وَزادَ في سَقَمي

Indeed, building the reservoir has exhausted me,

Building the reservoir exhausted me

And broken down my body and worsened my illness.

And weakened my body, increasing my illness

أَستَودِعُ اللَهَ كُلَّ ما صَنَعَت

أَستَودِعُ اللَهَ كُلَّ ما صَنَعَت

يَدي وَشادَت من باذِخٍ هِممي

يَدي وَشادَت من باذِخٍ هِممي

I entrust to God all that has been made

I entrust God with all that my hands have made

By my hand, and every lofty work my aspirations have raised.

And my lofty aspirations have erected
