O seeker of literature, here it is—so pluck

From its garden whatever you desire, fresh in bloom.

If you seek poetry, here are its branches,

    Bearing blossoms of fragrant speech.

Or if you seek prose, here are its passages,

Which, in their beauty, have mirrored stock blossoms.

Maxims to which reason assents, and scenes—

If the gaze roams through them, it returns content.

Were literature to become a nation,

It would choose true brotherhood as its prince.
