مُ كُنهَ اللَهِ إنسانُ
Exalted is God; no human knows
God's true essence.
أَتَبحَثُdo you seek عنهfor Him فيin وادٍa valley
أَتَبحَثُ عنه في وادٍ
وَمنهُand of Him الكونُthe universe مَلآنُfull
وَمنهُ الكونُ مَلآنُ
Do you seek Him in a valley,
while the universe is full of Him?
أَتُنكِرُهdo you deny Him وَأَنتَwhile you عَلَيof (word continues in line 6)
أَتُنكِرُه وَأَنتَ عَلَي
هِHim (completes the preceding word) لَوif فَكَّرتَyou reflected بُرهانُproof
هِ لَو فَكَّرتَ بُرهانُ
Do you deny Him, though you yourself,
if you reflect, are proof of Him?
