لاdo not تَكِلنيleave me إلىto الحوادثِthe misfortunes وانهَضand rise
لا تَكِلني إلى الحوادثِ وانهَض
بالذيto what يَقتَضيdemands الإِخاءُthe brotherhood القَديمُlongstanding
بالذي يَقتَضي الإِخاءُ القَديمُ
Do not leave me to misfortunes, and rise
Do not abandon me to misfortune, and arise
To what our longstanding brotherhood demands.
with that which our old brotherhood requires.
إنَّindeed سَعيَthe striving العداthe foes إذاif لمnot يُلَقَّحis fertilized
إنَّ سَعيَ العدا إذا لم يُلَقَّح
بِتَغابٍby feigned ignorance منfrom الصَديقِthe friend عَقيمُbarren
بِتَغابٍ من الصَديقِ عَقيمُ
Indeed, the striving of foes, if not fertilized
Verily the toil of a foe, if not fertilized
By a friend's feigned ignorance, is barren.
by a friend's rain, is barren.
