فيه لآمالِ هذا القُطرِ تحقيقُ

My lord, a radiant, joyous year has come to you.

My Master, a year dawns bright and joyous

In it lies the fulfillment of this land’s hopes.

In which hopes for this land will be fulfilled

أَبشِر بهِ فَلِسان السَعد أَرَّخَه

أَبشِر بهِ فَلِسان السَعد أَرَّخَه

صافاكَ عامُ العُلا وَالخيرِ توفيقُ

صافاكَ عامُ العُلا وَالخيرِ توفيقُ

Rejoice in it, for good fortune’s tongue has recorded its date:

Rejoice in it, for the tongue of bliss has recorded it

The year of glory and goodness has befriended you, Tawfiq.
