أَبعَدواthey removed أحمداًAhmad وجاءواand they came بِثانٍwith another
أَبعَدوا أحمداً وجاءوا بِثانٍ
ظَلمواهُthey wronged him كماas أرادَwished الغَشومُthe tyrant
ظَلمواهُ كما أرادَ الغَشومُ
They removed Ahmad and brought another.
They banished Ahmed and brought another
They wronged him, as the tyrant wished.
They wronged him as the oppressors intended
فَتَسَلَّتso they took comfort خزائِنُthe treasuries المالِof wealth مَظلوwronged (word continues on the next line)
فَتَسَلَّت خزائِنُ المالِ مَظلو
مٌcompletion of 'wronged' تَوَلّىdeparted وجاءَهاand came to them مَظلومُa wronged man
مٌ تَوَلّى وجاءَها مَظلومُ
So the treasuries of wealth took comfort: a wronged
So the treasures of money became looted
man departed, and another wronged man came to them.
