Indeed, the sons of Awf built a noble reputation,

أَدَّوْا إلى جارِهمْ خُفَارَتَهُ

ولم يَضِعْ بالمَغِيبِ مَن نَصَرُوا

لا حِمْيَرِيٌّ وَفَى وَلا عُدَسٌ
