I am the hour of the unbowed soul.
I am the soul's indignant hour
The honor is mine for coming first.
Superiority is mine by precedence
أناI بِكْرُfirstborn ساعاتٍhours ثلاثٍthree
أنا بِكْرُ ساعاتٍ ثلاثٍ
كلهاall of them رمزُa symbol الحميَّهْzeal
كلها رمزُ الحميَّهْ
I am the firstborn of three hours,
I am the first of three hours
each a symbol of zeal.
All symbolizing zeal
بِنْتُdaughter القضيَّةِthe cause إنَّindeed ليI have
بِنْتُ القضيَّةِ إنَّ لي
أثراًan impact جليلاًgreat فيupon القضيَّهْthe cause
أثراً جليلاً في القضيَّهْ
Daughter of the cause, I indeed have
As the daughter of the cause I have
a great impact upon the cause—

أَثرَthe impact السّيوفthe swords المشْرَفِيMashrafi (first part)

يَةِcompletion of 'Mashrafi' والرماحِand the spears الزاغبيَّهْZaghibi

the impact of Mashrafi swords
The effect of honorable swords
and Zaghibi spears.
And spears of the eager youth
أودعتُI placed فيwithin مُهجِhearts الشبيthe youth (first part)
أودعتُ في مُهجِ الشبي
بةcompletion of 'youth' نفْحةَa breath الرّوحِthe spirit الوفيَّةْfaithful
بة نفْحةَ الرّوحِ الوفيَّةْ
I placed within the hearts of youth
I instilled in the core of the young
a breath of the faithful spirit.
The breath of the faithful soul
لاno بدَّescape منfrom يومa day لهمfor them
لا بدَّ من يوم لهم
يَسْقيmakes drink العدىthe foes كأسَthe cup of المنيَّهْdeath
يَسْقي العدى كأسَ المنيَّهْ
A day must surely come for them
A day will come for them
that makes the foes drink the cup of death.
When the enemy sips the cup of defeat
قسماًI swear بروحby the spirit of فؤادFuad تصascends (first part)
قسماً بروح فؤاد تص
عَدُcompletion of 'ascends' منfrom جوانِحِهِhis breast زكيَّهْpure
عَدُ من جوانِحِهِ زكيَّهْ
I swear by Fuad's spirit, which ascends
I swear by the soul whose passions
pure from his breast,
Emerging from its zealous sides
تأتيreaches السماءَheaven حفيّةًwelcoming
تأتي السماءَ حفيّةً
فتحلّand so it dwells in جنَّتَهاits paradise العليَّهْlofty
فتحلّ جنَّتَها العليَّهْ
reaches heaven, which welcomes it,
The sky will arrive covered
and dwells in its lofty paradise:
Unveiling its most high paradise
ماnot نالhe attained مرتبةَthe rank of الخلوimmortality (first part)
ما نال مرتبةَ الخلو
دcompletion of 'immortality' بغْيرِwithout تضحيةٍa sacrifice رضيَّهْwilling
د بغْيرِ تضحيةٍ رضيَّهْ
he did not attain the rank of immortality
None reached the rank of immortality
without a willing sacrifice.
Without a satisfactory sacrifice
عاشتْlong live نفوسٌsouls فيin سبيway (first part)
عاشتْ نفوسٌ في سبي
لcompletion of 'way' بلادهاtheir country ذهبتْthey fell ضحيَّهُas sacrifices
ل بلادها ذهبتْ ضحيَّهُ
Long live the souls that, for the sake
Souls lived in the cause of their countries
of their country, fell as sacrifices.
And went as martyrs
