After this, nothing beautiful remains in time.
There remains in time no beauty after this beauty
Beauty, beneficence, and Hasan have resolved to depart.
Beauty, benevolence, and beauty have departed

The caravan of a youth alighted the morning he meant to leave,
She left one morning after intending to travel, a slender doe
a youth of the encampments' tribe—oh, may the caravan never strike camp!
Pure of lawful livelihood, what a departure of the slender doe

She has passed on from one who has passed on behind
he had remained, but when he departed, no trusted man remained.
Remaining is the confidant, and when he passed away none remained confidant

remove the mote from the eye, so that slumber may relent.
The splinter will wound the eye until it grazes the youth

Indeed, the one who vanished from its pupil was a youth
That which was absent from its people was for a youth
whose ways, were it not for death, would have restored Ja'far to life.
If not for death, it would have revived Ja'far's traits

To God is the value of one whose mouth rivaled mine
for flowing breast milk; that milk bound us in affection.
The value of frankincense, so the milk between us is pure

Not every watering place of death has stagnant water.
Not every watering place, its water wholesome
