أخو الزّوجة الغرّا الذي مات جدّه

أخو الزّوجة الغرّا الذي مات جدّه

وقد مات عنه بعدما مات عنه أبْ

The brother of the radiant wife, whose grandfather died—

The brother-in-law of the bride, a foolish young man, whose grandfather had died

His grandfather died leaving him behind, after his father had died leaving him.

And he had also died, after his father had died before him

وذاك أنّ الجدَّ زوّج نَجْلَه

وذاك أنّ الجدَّ زوّج نَجْلَه

بأمٍّ لها جاءت بنجل ولا عَجَبْ

That is because the grandfather married off his son
