    وأسياف أهل الدين بالحقّ بارقَة

    The suns of guidance—praise be to God—are rising;

    And the swords of the people of faith flash with truth.

    And even if some tongues have fallen mute in defense of the faith,

    Yet how many tongues, like spearheads, speak out!

    When has the hand of the misguided touched its heaven

    Without a thunderbolt from the meteor sentries striking them?

    فما سبقت إلاّ هنالك لاحقَة

    And do not think the defenders have perished;

    For none has gone before without another there to follow.

    Nor despair of that if Salih has died:

    Here, then, is his son, in whom his banners flutter.

    Have you not seen what his learning has brought to light

    Of proofs that have made its truths plain?

    It is as though their radiance, amid the gloom of innovations that

    Have appeared, were a sun on the horizon, piercing the darkness.

    وأمّا لِهَامِ الزائِغين ففالقة

    Keen-edged swords—as for their champion, he is Muhammad;

    And as for the heads of those who stray, they cleave them.

    By my life, he has indeed adorned the neck of the faith,

    And crowned its head with writings on it,

    And given the herald of guidance a voice,

    And silenced the bellowing of error’s bull-camel.

    And that is through the blessing of the most fortunate lord, who

    Took upon his shoulder the burden of championing the faith,

    أدَارَ على قُطْبَيْ هُدَاه مناطقَه

    And was pure of purpose in warding off corruption;

    He set his circles revolving round the twin poles of his guidance.

    He is the defender, the victorious Hammuda, whose

    Virtues spread their fragrance through East and West.

    Indeed, if the days swear they will never see his equal,

    And have never seen one, they are truthful in that.

    So may his days endure as festive seasons,

    And our hopes in them, through him, remain in leaf.
