All humankind is a target for death's arrow;
All existence is the target of fate's arrow,
a decree that has fallen even upon rulers.
A decree that has run its course even on rulers.

لِنَزِيلِ دارٍ غَيْرِ ذات دوام
How can there be permanence—when everything perishes—
How can permanence be when all things perish,
for a lodger in a dwelling that does not endure?
For a dweller in an abode that is without permanence?

So do good for yourself; you will find it when
So do good for yourself that you may find
mortals sober up from their drunkenness through sleep.
When people awake from their slumber of heedlessness.

has bewitched those of sound judgment with dreams.
Has enchanted with dreams those lost in dreams.

It is the house that admonished you, and admonition suffices you,
the death of learning and the departure of the luminaries.
The death of knowledge and the displacement of signs.

An ocean of verification whose pearls
around the neck of manuscript pages by the fingertips of pens.
Were threaded by the necks of cranes of pens.

from the fair figure of legal opinions and rulings!
Of figurines of jurisprudence and judgments.

and the beauty on the face of the days' gatherings.
And the beauty of the face of the days' assemblies.

You remain among the hearts in the most precious place.

No wonder that death may find virtue, and in
