    The one who has mercy on me has gone far from me,

    And the one who understands my pains and my soul,

    And the one whose radiant brow I worship,

    Like the dew of flowers upon a lovely face,

    And the one from whom, as I go out in the morning, I inhale

    The fragrance of dews in the singing valley.

    فتعالي ضَمّدِي أنتِ جروحي

    Ah, Hind, my wounds have multiplied;

    So come and dress my wounds yourself.
