Among your angry waves rising high
راعنيappalled me حولُكyour might الرهيبfearsome فخارتso faltered
راعني حولُك الرهيب فخارت

your fearsome might appalled me and sapped
Your mighty horror weakened my will
my resolve; no strength remained to me.
And I was left powerless, to cry
وترنحتُand I reeled بينbetween جنبيكyour two sides تلهوyou toy

بيwith me فتطغَىthen you rage آناًfor a time وتهدأand you grow calm آناfor a time
بي فتطغَى آناً وتهدأ آنا
And I reeled between your sides as you toyed
Tossed between your sides playing with me
with me, raging one moment and calming the next.
Now rising, now calming suddenly
كانتwas القطرةthe drop الضئيلةtiny منfrom لُجـdeep waters
كانت القطرة الضئيلة من لُجـ
ـكyour أمضىmore potent منيthan I وأخطرand greater شاناin importance
ـك أمضى مني وأخطر شانا
The tiny drop from your depths was
A tiny droplet from your sea
