هبني أسأت ألم يحن أن تغفرا
My pain erased my offense against you and atoned for it.
I erased my sin toward you, so forgive
Grant that I did wrong—is it not time for you to forgive?
I did wrong, isn't it time you forgave?

My soul is torn, and you left it
To the claws of the world and the fangs of humankind.
To the claws of this world and the fangs of fate

My soul is torn apart; had you reached it,
My soul is torn, if only you knew
You would have gathered its scattered remains.
You would gather its pieces that were scattered

And is there no place for me in the shade of your love,
Don't I have a place in the shade of your love
To which I may crawl and fling myself, seeking help?
To find refuge and call out for help?

Who changed the beautiful face to a frown
And went to the sky's face and clouded it?
And went to the sky's face and clouded it?

Thirsty, who would sell a drop for his loved ones
For his life and the whole world, he would surely buy it.
For his life and the whole world, he won't buy

غريدك الشادي المحلق في الذرى
Hide your wounds, and take pride in their ravages.
Lighten your wounds and find solace in your pride
Your singing songbird, soaring in the heights,
Your joyful singing self, soaring through the earth

فيجره الجرح المميت إلى الثرى
Gazes toward you across the distance and rises,
It yearns for you from afar and climbs
Then the deadly wound drags him down to the earth.
The deadly wound pulls it to the ground

To show you my wound, the blood, and the dagger?
To show you my wound, the blood, and the dagger?
