Hurrah and hurrah, O spring of the year!
A joy and more joy, O spring of the year,
Shine—may the dawns of days be your ransom.
Your dawns have shone, redeeming the days,

أَرِنا بشاشة ثغرك البسّام
After winter, and after its long frown,
After winter and after its sullen face,
Show us the cheer of your ever-smiling lips.
Show us the cheer of your smiling lips,

وابعث لنا أرج النسيم معطراً

متخطراً كخواطر الأحلام
And send us the breeze's fragrance, perfumed,
And send us the scent of the breeze perfumed,
Swaying gracefully like the thoughts of dreams.
Roving like thoughts in a dream.
