O you, bountiful in gifts and favors,

You added grace through the grace of In'am.

    And you dispelled the darkness until it vanished;

Not a trace of darkness lies upon the world.

And you revealed beauty, enchantment, and dawn

By the light of her smiling lips.

And you revealed the flowers, shedding dew upon us,

So it is as though I see spring before me.

O whisper of the breeze, O tenderness of roses,

    Revealed in fresh flower buds.

If I offer beauty my greeting,

Then my greeting is too little for this beauty.

And my greeting to innocence and purity,

And the lofty, sublime meaning of them both.

And my greeting to radiance and splendor,

Like the beauty of full moons at their fullest.

And my greeting to a soul's sweetness,

And purity like dreams that bring joy.

And my greeting to the eyes that

    Are art's source of inspiration:

The majesty of ages, once they have passed,

And the beauty of years upon years—

Immortal through what they immortalize within us:

    Arts distinguished by their endurance.

Ah, In'am, as poems follow one another,

You are the secret of the pens' creativity.

Inspiration has become clear, just as love has become clear,

So there is no obscurity in hearts.
