فتعالي روّي الظما في عيوني

By God, long has my abasement lasted in your absence,
By God, my humiliation in your indifference has been long
And my standing at the dwellings of humiliation.
As has my standing at the land of disgrace

It is as though they raise crumbling bones to life,
As if they do not send hopelessness
And as though they pour forth resurrection.
And as if they do not spill resurrection
وكأنيand as though I محلقsoaring فيin سماءa sky

ومطلand looking down منهاfrom it علىupon الأكوانthe worlds
ومطل منها على الأكوان

مستعزmade mighty بماby what منحتyou have given قويstrong
مستعز بما منحت قوي
أجمعI gather الكونthe universe كلهall of it فيin عنانa rein
أجمع الكون كله في عنان
Made mighty by what you have given, strong,
Empowered by what you have granted me
I gather the whole universe under a single rein.
