هي المقادير تجري في أعنتها
فاصبرso be patient فليسfor there is no لهاfor them صبرٌpatience علىwith حالa state
فاصبر فليس لها صبرٌ على حال
Such are fate’s decrees, running within their reins.
It is the fates that run their destined course,
So be patient, for they have no patience to remain in one state.
So be patient - they cannot persist in one state.
يوماًone day تُريكَthey show you خسيسlowly الأصلِin origin ترفعُهُthey raise him
يوماً تُريكَ خسيس الأصلِ ترفعُهُ
إلىto العلاءِthe heights ويوماًand one day تخفضُthey lower العاليthe exalted
إلى العلاءِ ويوماً تخفضُ العالي
One day they show you someone of lowly origin, raising him
One day they raise the lowly to the heights,
To the heights, and another day they bring the exalted low.
Another day they bring down those on high.
