إذاif الشيعيthe Shi‘i جمجمspeaks evasively فيin مقالٍspeech
إذا الشيعي جمجم في مقالٍ
فسركand it pleases you أنthat يبوحhe speak openly بذاتabout the inner state of نفسهhis soul
فسرك أن يبوح بذات نفسه
If the Shi‘i is evasive in his speech,
When a Shia raves in verse,
and you wish him to reveal his innermost thoughts,
Expect him to bare his soul.
فصلthen invoke blessings علىupon النبيthe Prophet وصاحبيهand his two companions
فصل على النبي وصاحبيه
وزيريهhis two ministers وجاريهand his two neighbors برمسهin his tomb
وزيريه وجاريه برمسه
then invoke blessings upon the Prophet and his two companions,
He praises the Prophet and his two companions,
his two ministers and his two neighbors in his tomb.
His ministers and maidservant in embellished rhyme.
