عَلى ثَراهُ أَفاضَ اللَهُ رحمتَهُ
Ni‘ma al-Fayyad has indeed come to rest in a grave.
The bountiful grace lies buried in a grave
Upon his burial soil, may God pour His mercy.
Upon his soil, Allah has lavished His mercy
وَالنَفسُand the soul نادَتcalled out بِباكيهِto his mourners مؤرخةًmarking the date
وَالنَفسُ نادَت بِباكيهِ مؤرخةً
لَهُof him تَقولُit says اِستَرَدَّreclaimed اللَهُGod نِعمتَهُHis blessing
لَهُ تَقولُ اِستَرَدَّ اللَهُ نِعمتَهُ
And the soul called out to his mourners, marking the date,
And the soul cries out in mourning, chronicling
Saying of him: “God has reclaimed His blessing.”
His fate, saying: Allah has reclaimed His favor
