He said: How many asses Time has flattered,
How many wise men has time made into donkeys
Striding over carpets of silk!
Who tread on silken carpets haughtily

I said: You will not find relief by reviling people
I said, you will not quench your thirst for blaming people
Because of whom you have grown envious of asses.
By becoming envious of donkeys
