قَدindeed جَرّدَdetached النَفسَthe soul عَنfrom دُنياهُhis earthly world مُنقَطِعاًwholly devoted
قَد جَرّدَ النَفسَ عَن دُنياهُ مُنقَطِعاً
لِخدمةِto the service of اللَّهِGod فيin قَولٍword وَفيand in عَمَلِdeed
لِخدمةِ اللَّهِ في قَولٍ وَفي عَمَلِ
He has detached his soul from his earthly world, wholly devoted
He has stripped his soul of this world, detached,
To serving God in word and in deed.
To serve God in word and deed;
فَاِكتُبso write لِتاريخِهِfor his chronogram دَرْجاًa scroll تَقولُyou say بِهِin it
فَاِكتُب لِتاريخِهِ دَرْجاً تَقولُ بِهِ
قَدindeed حَلَّhas come to dwell فيat العَرشِthe throne يوحنّاJohn مَعَwith الحَمَلِthe Lamb
قَد حَلَّ في العَرشِ يوحنّا مَعَ الحَمَلِ
So write a scroll for his chronogram, in which you say:
So write in his history a rank which states:
John has come to dwell at the throne with the Lamb.
John has ascended to the Throne with the Lamb.
