From the house of Fayyad, a cherished, noble man

Is broken like a branch by the wind of death.

At twenty-five he departed, and left no

Fruit through which the sorrowful might find solace and be comforted.

And indeed he has gone toward eternity, leaving behind

A legacy of praise, remembered with mercy.

    So the All-Merciful lodged him—record the date—in a dwelling

Where Bishara is given glad tidings of bliss.
