لِلّهِ شاهِدَةً بِفَضلِ صَلاحِهِ

Sylvanus al-Manṣūr founded a church,

For God—a witness to the excellence of his piety.

فيها نزورُ رَئيسَ أَجنادِ العُلى

أَرِّخ وَنَلجَأُ تَحتَ ظلِّ جَناحِهِ

Therein we visit the chief of heaven’s hosts;
