تَجلَّى هِلالُ السَعدِ في حُسنِ طَلعةٍ

تَجلَّى هِلالُ السَعدِ في حُسنِ طَلعةٍ

بِها اللَهُ وَافانا بِحُسنٍ وَاِحسانِ

بِها اللَهُ وَافانا بِحُسنٍ وَاِحسانِ

The crescent of good fortune shone forth in the beauty of a countenance,

through which God graced us with beauty and kindness.

نَجيبٌ نَراهُ حَيثُ أرَّخَ فائِقاً

نَجيبٌ نَراهُ حَيثُ أرَّخَ فائِقاً

وَلا غَروَ فيهِ أَنَّهُ مِن سُليمانِ

وَلا غَروَ فيهِ أَنَّهُ مِن سُليمانِ

Najib, whom we see excelling, as the chronogram records—

and no wonder at that, for he comes from Sulayman.
