أَبهى قِرانٍ للسليمِ قَد اِنجَلى

أَبهى قِرانٍ للسليمِ قَد اِنجَلى

عَن فَرقَدٍ في السَعدِ لاقى فَرقَدا

عَن فَرقَدٍ في السَعدِ لاقى فَرقَدا

The fairest union for al-Salim has come to light,

A radiant wreath for the virtuous has shone forth

revealing a bright star that met another in good fortune.

From a Pleiades it found in the constellation of Saad,

وَهُنالكَ التاريخُ حَيّى مُنشِداً

وَهُنالكَ التاريخُ حَيّى مُنشِداً

غُصنَ الكَمالِ زَها بِاكليلِ النَدى

غُصنَ الكَمالِ زَها بِاكليلِ النَدى

And there History sang its greeting

And there did history come to life, chanting

to the bough of perfection, resplendent with a crown of bounty.

The branch of perfection - bedecked with the crown of dew.
