مِن آلِ فَرنيني الأَكارِمَ ماجدُ

مِن آلِ فَرنيني الأَكارِمَ ماجدُ

أَجرى المَدامِعَ بِالدِماءِ رَحيلُهُ

أَجرى المَدامِعَ بِالدِماءِ رَحيلُهُ

A noble man of the honorable Farnini family—

Of noble lineage, Magid

His passing made eyes weep blood.

His departure brought tears mixed with blood

شَهمٌ بفعلِ الخَيرِ أَخلَصَ قَصدَهُ

شَهمٌ بفعلِ الخَيرِ أَخلَصَ قَصدَهُ

وَبِطاعةِ الباري اِستَقامَ سَبيلُهُ

وَبِطاعةِ الباري اِستَقامَ سَبيلُهُ

Noble-hearted, he was sincere in his intent to do good.

A man of courageous deeds and pure intent

And through obedience to the Creator, his path became straight.

Guided by obedience to the Almighty

وَلَقَد تَمَتَّعَ بِالمَراحمِ وَالرِضَى

وَلَقَد تَمَتَّعَ بِالمَراحمِ وَالرِضَى

بِجِوارِ رَبٍّ لا يُضاع نَزيلُهُ

بِجِوارِ رَبٍّ لا يُضاع نَزيلُهُ

And indeed he enjoyed mercies and favor,

He found joy in mercy and contentment

Beside a Lord whose guest is never forsaken.

A dweller in the abode of his timeless Lord

فَكَتَبَتُ وَالتّاريخُ يَنطقُ صادِقاً

فَكَتَبَتُ وَالتّاريخُ يَنطقُ صادِقاً

لا رَيبَ عِندَ اللَهِ باتَ خَليلُهُ

لا رَيبَ عِندَ اللَهِ باتَ خَليلُهُ

So I wrote, and history speaks truly:

History records with truth, I wrote

Without doubt, His friend has come to dwell with God.

Without doubt, a friend of God he died
