I would blame you if I thought my reproach could help,
I blame you if I see blame helps,
but there is no blame and no reproach.
But there is no reproach or censure.

لصنوٌ للذي صبر احتسابا
And one who parts from companions—to put it briefly—
And if I turn away from companionship
is surely a brother to one who endures, hoping for reward.
It is to favor one who shows patience.

To distance which makes us yearn for return.

So stand, bid farewell, enough,

As you bade me, desiring approach.

Otherwise, no blame and no reproach.
