And it is shameful to trail your hem

It is ugly to drag your tail sneakily

haughtily, and cast slander upon your companions' necks,

And walk on the necks of friends

مزعجاً بالسلام روح كريم

غيبته بجوف العراء

disturbing with greetings the spirit of a noble man

Disturbing the spirit of the noble one

whom you buried in the hollow of the bare ground.

Who passed away in the desert's depths
