It would be easy for me to meet my death
I must cast my cares aside
And be folded beneath the folds of dust.
And fold myself beneath the blankets' spread,

When night falls I see my heart
Wakeful, fed the bitterness of weaning.

The fates have always opened my eyes
To open it upon immense sorrows.

And in the darkness of the graves we have a protector
In the gloom of the tomb we have a refuge
Who dispels the desolation of barren life.
That reveals the horror of this harsh life.

Bury me, when I die, in a grave
When I die, bury me gently
Where the clouds’ rain keeps me company.
Where the clouds' shadows will visit me.

Where the wild animals' traces remain.

And the breeze has risen with the darkness.
As the breeze and the shadows gather.

Dreams are a solace to the ailing.
