Some men wish for a full purse, while others

Wished, by deleting the yāʾ, for what remained—or a kuss (‘vulva’).

Wish the same but without the final Yaa

ولو لم يكن عار على مثلى المنى

تمنيت فى ذا العصر أبصر كيسا

تمنيت فى ذا العصر أبصر كيسا

And were wishing no disgrace to one like me,

And if it were not shameful for one like me,

I would wish, in this age, to see a discerning man.
