What excuse have you for not giving generously, after

What excuse have you when you were not generous

you were granted possession of Caliph Ahmad’s hand?

After you possessed the palm of Caliph Ahmed

فلْتَبْعثوا لي كلَّ بكرٍ فذّةِ

فلْتَبْعثوا لي كلَّ بكرٍ فذّةِ

تأتي بفخر حلالها وسْطَ النَّدي

تأتي بفخر حلالها وسْطَ النَّدي

So send me every peerless maiden,

Send me then every excellent young camel

who comes bearing her lawful husband’s glory amid the assembly.
