للغنيْfor al-Ghani باللهِbi-llah (through God) مُلْكٌa kingdom
للغنيْ باللهِ مُلْكٌ
بُردُهُits mantle بالعزِّwith glory مُذَهَبْgilded
بُردُهُ بالعزِّ مُذَهَبْ
To al-Ghani bi-llah belongs a kingdom,
The rich man possesses a kingdom through God
Its mantle gilded with glory.
His coat embroidered with honor ever shines
دامَmay it endure فيin رفعةِloftiness of شانِrank
دامَ في رفعةِ شانِ
ماas long as جلاdispelled الإصباحُdaybreak غيْهَبْdeep darkness
ما جلا الإصباحُ غيْهَبْ
May it endure in exalted rank,
As long as he continues in glorious splendor
As long as daybreak dispels deep darkness.
The dawn will never veil his brightness
