    O king, whose days

    Are bright forehead-marks gleaming on the faces of the ages.

    فاسمح لألف منهم بمزارِ

    The joyous feast has visited you bearing glad tidings;

    So grant a thousand of them leave to visit.

    When favors you graciously bestowed delighted it—

    May God encircle you with favor like a bracelet—

    It then came seeking righteous guidance from you,

    To draw light after the moon's dark phase.

    And it came to you trailing the hem of clouds that poured abundantly,

    Urging the rain clouds' eyelids to weep.

    فرعى الربيع لها حقوق الجارِ

    They freely shed streaming tears in drops of dew;

    So spring honored their rights as neighbors.

    And restored the earth's face to cheerfulness and radiance,

    Laughing with the smiling mouths of blossoms.

    When it called you to observe a tradition,

    You made the call of generosity and selflessness your judge.

    So you poured forth among us gifts from your bounty,

    Whose bestowal pleased us time and again.

    So rejoice in a feast that has returned cloaked in contentment,

    Jubilant, trailing its robes in the finery of gladness.
