ياO خيرbest منthose who ورثinherited السماحَgenerosity عنfrom الألىthose who
يا خير من ورث السماحَ عن الألى
نصرواthey aided الألىthose people وتبوّأواand they made their abode in الإيماناfaith
نصروا الألى وتبوّأوا الإيمانا
O best of those who inherited generosity from those
O best of those who inherited generosity from the exalted ancestors
Who aided those people and made faith their home!
Help the exalted ones and embrace faith
فيin كلevery يومday منكfrom you تحفةa gift منعمٍa benefactor
في كل يوم منك تحفة منعمٍ
وإلىand to; likely 'kept bestowing' الجميلkindness وأجزلand lavished الإحساناbenevolence
وإلى الجميل وأجزل الإحسانا
Each day brings a gift from you, a benefactor
Every day you bestow on me a cherished gift
Who kept bestowing kindness and lavished bounty.
And excel in doing good and being generous
قدindeed أذكرتit has reminded دارabode النعيمbliss عبيدَهُhis servants
قد أذكرت دار النعيم عبيدَهُ
وتضمنتand it has contained منfrom فضلهhis bounty رضواناgracious favor
وتضمنت من فضله رضوانا
It has reminded his servants of the abode of bliss,
You reminded the servants of Paradise their home
And has carried, through his bounty, gracious favor.
And included me in the blessings of your satisfaction
تهديoffer as gifts مواليَّmy lords الذينwho تفرعواthey branched forth
تهدي مواليَّ الذين تفرعوا
عنfrom روحspirit فخركyour glory فيin العلاloftiness أغصاناas boughs
عن روح فخرك في العلا أغصانا
My lords offer—those who have branched forth
You gift my master who branched out
From the spirit of your glory, as boughs on high—
From the spirit of your pride in the heights, branches
لجلالكto your majesty الأعلىsupreme قنيصاًquarry أتعبواthey wearied
لجلالك الأعلى قنيصاً أتعبوا
فيin صيدهhunting it الأرواحsouls والأبداناand bodies
في صيده الأرواح والأبدانا
Game to your supreme majesty, for which they wearied
For your supreme majesty they exerted themselves
Souls and bodies in its hunting.

فتخصنيso you single me out منهof it بأوفرwith the most abundant قسمةshare
فتخصني منه بأوفر قسمة
فَسَحَتْit opened up لعبدكfor your servant فيin الرضىcontentment ميداناan arena
فَسَحَتْ لعبدك في الرضى ميدانا
So you single me out for its most abundant share,
So grant me from it the most abundant share
Which opened for your servant a wide field of contentment.
Ample room opened up for your servant in consent
للهfor God (in admiration) منa (exclamatory) مولىmaster كريمٍgenerous بالذيwith what
لله من مولى كريمٍ بالذي
تُهديoffer as gifts المواليthe lords يُتحفhe presents gifts to العبداناthe servants
تُهدي الموالي يُتحف العبدانا
By God, what a generous master! With what
Praise be to Allah for a generous master who
The lords offer, he presents gifts to the servants.
Gifts the loyal and enriches the servants
تدعوyou call بنيَّmy sons إلىto الغنيِّthe rich one بربهthrough his Lord
تدعو بنيَّ إلى الغنيِّ بربه
ياO ربناour Lord أغنِenrich الّذيthe one who أغناناhas enriched us
يا ربنا أغنِ الّذي أغنانا
You move my sons to pray for him who is rich through his Lord:
You call my sons to the Rich by His Lord
“O our Lord, enrich the one who has enriched us!”
Oh our Lord, enrich those whom You have enriched
وعليكand upon you منfrom قوسbow الإلهGod تحيةa greeting
وعليك من قوس الإله تحية
تهديكit brings you منهfrom Him الرَّوْحَcomfort والرَّيْحاناand sweet basil
تهديك منه الرَّوْحَ والرَّيْحانا
And upon you be a greeting from God's bow,
And upon you be greetings from the bow of God
Bringing you from Him comfort and sweet basil.
That bring you spirit and fragrance
