By God, I have no means of deliverance
If I did not prepare useful provisions,
except your approval and your hoped-for pardon.
I prepared the love of you as an accepted intercessor.
إنif كنتُI was ماnot أعدَدْتI prepared زاداًprovision نافعاًuseful

Though I have prepared no useful provision,
May God send blessings upon you whenever a riding caravan traveled
I have prepared love for you as an accepted intercessor.
And the wilderness plateau became populated.

May God bless you as long as a caravan travels by night,
And empower the one who assumed responsibility for His servants
then hastens at a swift trot for a mile through the desert;
So He granted them His continuous benevolence.

And establish the obligatory jihad with determination
who bestowed his unceasing generosity upon them,
Leaving in the hearts of enemies turmoil.

By God, I do not know in the heat of battle whether
that left notches in the enemies' hearts.
It is its swords or its determination that is sharpened.

By God, when battle arrives, I cannot tell
A king whose pledged hand the existence kissed
whether it is his sword or his resolve that is polished.
So the sea became fresh and the meadows are indeed adorned at night.
ملكa king إذاwhen لَثَمkisses الوجودُexistence يمينهhis right hand
ملك إذا لَثَم الوجودُ يمينه

فالبحر عذباً والرياض بليلا
A king—when existence kisses his right hand,
Or the chosen people complained and they were carried
the sea turns sweet and the meadows moist.
So he called it with no fear of the raging ignorant.

Or if the clouds fail the people and drought afflicts them,
From a Yemeni Najdi palm grove
seekers of his bounty fear no drought in his generosity.
And it branched out high and took roots.

So if you ask the books to convey a merit
whose branches and roots intertwine in loftiness.
You will not find except its pride being conveyed.

So wonder at it for having perfected analysis.

the open space grew narrow, leaving them no channel;

From the polished Indian sword blades.
