أقول لبدر التُمِّ كيف هلالُكا

أقول لبدر التُمِّ كيف هلالُكا

نعمتَ صباحاً بالسّعود وآلُكا

نعمتَ صباحاً بالسّعود وآلُكا

I say to the full moon: How fares your crescent?

I say to the full moon, how crescent you were

May you and your household enjoy a morning of good fortune.

You rose in the morning with happiness and now are full

وبُلِّغتَ في النَجْلِ الكريم سعادةً

وبُلِّغتَ في النَجْلِ الكريم سعادةً

تَقَرُّبها عيناً وينعَمُ بالُكا

تَقَرُّبها عيناً وينعَمُ بالُكا

And may you be granted happiness in your noble son,

You were told good news in the generous sand

That gladdens your eye and puts your mind at ease.

Drawing it near, the eye rejoices in your fullness

وخُصْصتَ بالبشرى من الله ربَّنا

وخُصْصتَ بالبشرى من الله ربَّنا

كما عمَّ أقطارَ البلاد نوالُكا

كما عمَّ أقطارَ البلاد نوالُكا

And may you be favored with glad tidings from God, our Lord,

You were singled out for glad tidings from God, our Lord

Just as your bounty has reached every corner of the land.

As your blessings spread across the lands
