لِلْغَنِي بالله قصرٌ
للتهانيfor felicitations يصطفيهِhe chooses it
للتهاني يصطفيهِ
Al-Ghani bi-llah has a palace,
The one rich in God has a palace
which he chooses for felicitations.
Where he picks and chooses his delight
فيهin it محرابُa prayer niche صلاةٍprayer
فيه محرابُ صلاةٍ
يقفstands الإبريقthe ewer فيهِin it
يقف الإبريق فيهِ
Within it is a niche for prayer;
In it is a prayer niche
the ewer stands within it,
Where the pitcher stands
تالياًreciting سورةa chapter حسنbeauty
تالياً سورة حسن
والمعاليand noble qualities تقتفيهِfollow in its footsteps
والمعالي تقتفيهِ
reciting a surah of beauty,
Reciting a beautiful surah
and noble qualities follow in its footsteps.
