إلى الله أشكو ماهو أعلم به مني

إلى الله أشكو ماهو أعلم به مني

وذاك سبب ذنبي فيارب ارحمني

وذاك سبب ذنبي فيارب ارحمني

To God I complain of what He knows better than I.

To God I complain of what He knows better than I,

And that is the cause of my sin; so, Lord, have mercy on me.

And that is the cause of my sin, so my Lord have mercy on me.

وتب توبة مقبولة وصحيحة

وتب توبة مقبولة وصحيحة

على بها ترفع جميع الذي امحني

على بها ترفع جميع الذي امحني

And grant an accepted and sound repentance,

Grant me an accepted and valid repentance,

To me, through which You lift away all that afflicts me.

With which You lift all that has saddened me.

تفضل تفضل ياإلهي وسيدي

تفضل تفضل ياإلهي وسيدي

فإلى سواك من بليتي ينفعني

فإلى سواك من بليتي ينفعني

Be gracious, be gracious, O my God and my Master.

Please, my God and Master, please,

For who besides You can help me in my affliction?

For none but You can help me out of my affliction.

تفضل كريم الوجه وامنن برحمة

تفضل كريم الوجه وامنن برحمة

بها من جميع الكرب والهم تحفظني

بها من جميع الكرب والهم تحفظني

Be gracious, O noble of countenance, and bestow mercy,

Please, Kind of face, and bestow mercy,

Through which You protect me from all anguish and worry.

With which from all troubles and grief You protect me.

فإني وإن كنت مسيئا ومذنبا

فإني وإن كنت مسيئا ومذنبا

فلي حسن ظن فيك إنك تسترني

فلي حسن ظن فيك إنك تسترني

For although I have been a wrongdoer and a sinner,

For even if I am a sinner and a wrongdoer,

I have good hope in You: surely You will conceal my faults.

I have good faith in You that You will conceal me.

فانك أظهرت الجميل وزدتني

فانك أظهرت الجميل وزدتني

باشيا حسان لم تكن فيّ أومني

باشيا حسان لم تكن فيّ أومني

For You have revealed the beautiful and enriched me

For You have shown kindness and granted me

With lovely things that were neither in me nor from me.

Good things I had no right to or asked of You.

فيارب عاملني بفضلك واهدني

فيارب عاملني بفضلك واهدني

بمنك واغفرلي بجودك واجبرني

بمنك واغفرلي بجودك واجبرني

So, Lord, deal with me by Your grace and guide me,

So my Lord, treat me with Your grace and guide me,

By Your favor; forgive me through Your generosity, and mend me.

With Your favour forgive me and heal me.

واختم لنا بالخير عند مماتنا

واختم لنا بالخير عند مماتنا

ولا بذنوبي يا إلهي تؤاخذني

ولا بذنوبي يا إلهي تؤاخذني

And grant us a good end at the time of our death,

And seal for us with good at our death,

And do not hold me to account for my sins, O my God.

And my God do not take me to account for my sins.

وصل إلهي كل حين وساعة

وصل إلهي كل حين وساعة

وسلم على الهادي النبي المصطفى العدني

وسلم على الهادي النبي المصطفى العدني

And send blessings, my God, at every moment and hour,

And bless, my God, at all times and hours,

And send peace upon the guide, the Prophet, the chosen one, al-ʿAdnī.

And greetings to the guiding Prophet, the Chosen One.
