O You whose relief is near, O Lord, O reliever of distress.

O Lord, Reliever of distress, Remover of worries,

O Lord, Reliever of distress, Dispeller of sorrows,

يا قريب الفرج فرج على كل مهتم

يا قريب الفرج فرج على كل مهتم

ياقريب الفرج نسألك تغفر وترحم

ياقريب الفرج نسألك تغفر وترحم

O You whose relief is near, grant relief to everyone burdened with care.

O Lord, Reliever of distress, relieve every worried one,

O You whose relief is near, we ask You to forgive and show mercy.

O Lord, Reliever of distress, we ask You for forgiveness and mercy,

يا قريب الفرج فرج علينا تكرم

يا قريب الفرج فرج علينا تكرم

استر الحال قبل الصبر يارب ينتم

استر الحال قبل الصبر يارب ينتم

O You whose relief is near, grant us relief; be generous.

O Lord, Reliever of distress, relieve us, You are generous,

Veil our plight, O Lord, before patience runs out.

Conceal this state before patience runs out, O Lord it belongs,

استر الحال يمسي الحال كامل متمم

استر الحال يمسي الحال كامل متمم

استر الحال لا تكشفه يظهر مشتم

استر الحال لا تكشفه يظهر مشتم

Veil our plight, so our state becomes whole and complete.

Conceal this state, the state becomes perfect and complete,

Veil our plight; do not expose it, lest it become an object of scorn.

Conceal this state, do not expose it to appear insulted,

فاستر الحال ياستار في ذه وفي ثم

فاستر الحال ياستار في ذه وفي ثم

رب وامنن بتوبه تمح ما قد تقدم

رب وامنن بتوبه تمح ما قد تقدم

So veil our plight, O Concealer, here and there.

So conceal this state, O Concealer, here and there,

And grant us, Lord, repentance that erases what has gone before.

Lord, bless me with repentance to erase what has passed,

يمسي القلب بالطاعه منور منعم

يمسي القلب بالطاعه منور منعم

واكفنا كل مؤذي شره ضمه ضم

واكفنا كل مؤذي شره ضمه ضم

May the heart become radiant and blessed through obedience.

May my heart be obedient by evening, enlightened and graced,

And protect us from every harmful one; hold his evil firmly in check.

And protect us from every harming enemy, contain his harm,

واطف نار الفتن إن الفتن شرها عم

واطف نار الفتن إن الفتن شرها عم

واصلح القلب إن القلب يا رب مسقم

واصلح القلب إن القلب يا رب مسقم

And quench the fire of strife, for the evil of strife has spread everywhere.

And extinguish the fire of tribulations, tribulations are evil in their spread,

And mend the heart, for the heart, O Lord, is ailing.

And reform the heart, O Lord, the heart is sick,

أعطني مطلبي ذي أنت رب به اعلم

أعطني مطلبي ذي أنت رب به اعلم

منك جودا وإحسانا من الفضل الأعظم

منك جودا وإحسانا من الفضل الأعظم

Grant me what I seek, which You, Lord, know best.

Grant me my request, You know best what it comprises,

As generosity and kindness from You, from the greatest bounty,

Out of Your generosity and bounty, from the greatest grace,

لا بحولي ولا قوة ولا قول بالفم

لا بحولي ولا قوة ولا قول بالفم

واختم العمر بالحسنى إذا عمرنا تم

واختم العمر بالحسنى إذا عمرنا تم

Not by my own might, nor by strength, nor by words spoken with the mouth.

I have no might nor power, no words from my lips,

And seal life with goodness when our lifetime is complete.

And conclude my life with the best, once our life is complete,

والصلاة مع التسليم ما عبد سلم

والصلاة مع التسليم ما عبد سلم

دائمان على طه الشفيع المكرم

دائمان على طه الشفيع المكرم

And blessings with greetings of peace, as long as a servant offers greetings,

And prayers and peace be, as long as a worshipper is safe,

Both everlasting upon Taha, the honored intercessor,

Always upon Taha, the honored intercessor,

والصحابه وآله حبهم خير مغنم

والصحابه وآله حبهم خير مغنم

ثم قولي وبسم الله نبدا ونختم

ثم قولي وبسم الله نبدا ونختم

And upon the Companions and his family; loving them is the best gain.

And his companions and family, loving them is the best gain,

Then I say: in the name of God we begin and end.

Then say my words, “In the name of God I begin and end.”
