ياO عظيمgreat in الفضلbounty ياO معطيgiver of الجزيلabundant gifts
يا عظيم الفضل يا معطي الجزيل
ياO صمدSelf-Sufficient One ياO منYou whose عوائدكYour customary favors الجميلgoodness
يا صمد يا من عوائدك الجميل
O You of great bounty, O Giver of lavish gifts.
O Magnificent Bestower, O Giver of Bounty,
O Self-Sufficient One, O You whose gifts are ever gracious.
O Eternal, O Possessor of Beautiful Ways,
حسبناsufficient for us اللهGod وياand O نعمhow excellent الوكيلthe Guardian
حسبنا الله ويا نعم الوكيل
حسبناsufficient for us منthe One who ليسdoes not يمسهtouch Him لغوبweariness
حسبنا من ليس يمسه لغوب
God is sufficient for us—and O, what an excellent Guardian!
Allah is sufficient for us, how excellent a Guardian.
Sufficient for us is He whom no weariness touches.
Sufficient for us is He who is untouched by fatigue,
ربناour Lord ياO ربناour Lord إنindeed عبدكYour servant بالفناin the courtyard
ربنا يا ربنا إن عبدك بالفنا
كنbe بهwith him عندat الفناpassing away
كن به عند الفنا
Our Lord, O our Lord, indeed Your servant is in the courtyard.
Our Lord, our Lord, Your servant is mortal,
Be with him at his passing.
Be with him at his passing,
واكفناand protect us ربناour Lord كلevery مهوبdreaded thing
واكفنا ربنا كل مهوب
واعطناand grant us ماwhat ليسdoes not يدخلenter فيinto حسوبreckoning
واعطنا ما ليس يدخل في حسوب
And shield us, our Lord, from every dreaded thing.
And protect us our Lord from all terror,
And grant us what no reckoning can encompass.
And grant us that which lies beyond all counting.
