ضاقت أخلاق الخلائق

ضاقت أخلاق الخلائق

O You of gracious countenance, hardship has closed in, and You know the world.

O the one with the beautiful face, while you are all-knowing of this world

People's tempers have grown strained,

The morals of people have narrowed

واليتامى والحريم رب فرجها قريبا

واليتامى والحريم رب فرجها قريبا

إنك الرب الكريم

إنك الرب الكريم

And the orphans and womenfolk—Lord, dispel this distress soon.

And the orphans and women, my Lord relieve them soon

Indeed, You are the generous Lord.

You are the Most Generous Lord

لا تؤاخذهم بذنبي إن ذنبي جيم ميم

لا تؤاخذهم بذنبي إن ذنبي جيم ميم

واعف عني وامح ذنبي

واعف عني وامح ذنبي

Do not hold them to account for my sin; indeed, my sin is jīm–mīm—vast.

Do not blame them for my sins, for my sins are immense

And pardon me and erase my sin.

Forgive me and erase my sins

اصلح القلب السقيم تب علينا يا إلهي

اصلح القلب السقيم تب علينا يا إلهي

أدرك أدرك يارحيم

أدرك أدرك يارحيم

Mend the ailing heart; turn to us in mercy, O my God.

Reform the ailing heart, turn to us O my God

Come to our aid, come to our aid, O Merciful One,

Realize, realize O the Most Merciful

بتوبة الصدق المنجى قبل ما نمسي رميم

بتوبة الصدق المنجى قبل ما نمسي رميم

ياعظيم الفضل يامن

ياعظيم الفضل يامن

With sincere, saving repentance, before we become crumbling remains.

With the repentance of sincere salvation before we become deteriorated

O You of immense bounty, O You whose

O the Magnificent, O You whose trait is perfect concealment

شأنه الستر العميم نسألك تستر وتغفر

شأنه الستر العميم نسألك تستر وتغفر

لا تؤاخذ ياحليم

لا تؤاخذ ياحليم

way is all-embracing concealment: we ask You to conceal and forgive.

We ask you for concealment and forgiveness

Do not hold us to account, O Forbearing One.

Do not blame, O Forbearing One

واهدنا ياذا المواهب للصراط المستقيم

واهدنا ياذا المواهب للصراط المستقيم

واختم العمر بخير

واختم العمر بخير

And guide us, O Possessor of gifts, to the straight path.

And guide us, O Giver of gifts, to the straight path

And bring life to a good end,

And conclude my life with good

يامهيمن ياعليم وصلاة الله تترى

يامهيمن ياعليم وصلاة الله تترى

كل ماهب النسيم

كل ماهب النسيم

O Guardian, O All-Knowing One; and may God's blessings come in succession,

O Guardian, O All-Knowing, and the prayers of God continue

Whenever the breeze blows,

To cover the Chosen One, Ahmad, and eternal peace

تتغشى المصطفى أحمد والسلام المستديم

تتغشى المصطفى أحمد والسلام المستديم

وعلى آل وصحب

وعلى آل وصحب

Enfolding the Chosen One, Ahmad, with everlasting peace,

And upon his family and the companions

And resting upon the family and companions

Of the Prophet, the Noble Guide, and to You belongs all praise

للنبي الهادي الكريم ولك الحمد الهي

للنبي الهادي الكريم ولك الحمد الهي

عد ماطش الرذيم

عد ماطش الرذيم

Of the guiding, noble Prophet; and praise is Yours, my God,

For as long as the despicable last

As numerous as the drops the drizzle scatters.
