O Most Merciful of the merciful, O Most Merciful of the merciful.

O Most Merciful of the merciful, grant relief to the Muslims.

O our Lord, O Generous One, O our Lord, Merciful One.

You are the Generous, the Forbearing, and how excellent a Helper You are!

And we hope in none but You.

So come to our rescue, my God—come to our rescue,

    before annihilation and ruin

    engulf worldly life and religion.

We ask You for a ruler who establishes justice, so that we may be upright,

following Your upright guidance, and not obey the accursed one.

O our Lord, O Answerer of prayers.

You are the All-Hearing, the Near One.

The vast, spacious expanse has grown narrow.

    So look upon the believers,

with a glance that removes hardship from us and brings wishes near

to us; and may all happiness be granted us at every moment.

I ask You, by the honor of the forefathers,

for a ruler who upholds the prescribed limits

on our behalf, and wards off the envious one,

    and repels the oppressors.

He removes reprehensible deeds and establishes the prayers.

He enjoins good deeds, a lover of the righteous.

He clears away all that is forbidden and subdues all the rabble.

He deals justly among humankind and makes the fearful safe.

Lord, water us with widespread rain, beneficial, blessed, enduring,

that lasts every year throughout the passage of the years.

    Lord, let us live thankfully,

and take us in death as Muslims,

that we may be resurrected among those who are safe,

in the company of the foremost.

By the honor of Ta-Ha, the Messenger,

    our Lord, generously grant acceptance,

    and grant us every wish.

Lord, answer me; may we be safe.

Your bounty, my Lord, is abundant,

and everything You do is beautiful.

And our hope in You stretches far,

so be generous to those who yearn.

O Lord, the noose has tightened

from doing what cannot be borne.

    So graciously undo the lock

for whoever is held captive by his sin.

    And forgive all sins,

    and conceal all faults,

    and dispel all troubles,

and ward off the harm of those who cause harm.

And bring our lives to the best ending,

    when the end draws near,

and the hour of death arrives,

and sweat upon the brow increases.

    Then blessings and peace

    upon the intercessor for humankind,

and his family—how noble they are—

and the companions and the followers.
