ألايا رب يا سامع دعائي

ومن بيديه دائي مع دوائي

O Lord, O hearer of my prayer,

and You in whose hands lie my illness and my cure.

تفضل يا كريم على فقير

قليل الصبر عند الابتلاء

Show favor, O Generous One, to one in need,

whose patience is scant in times of trial.

فهب لي من عطائك كل خير

وعجل يا إلهي بالشفاء

So grant me every good thing from Your bounty,

and hasten healing, O my God.

وكن لي سيدي في كل حال

وفي الدنيا وفي يوم الجزاء

And be with me, my Master, in every circumstance,

in this world and on the Day of Recompense.

عظيم الفضل أطلب منك فضلا

كثير الخير حقق لي رجائي

O You of great bounty, I seek a favor from You;

O You of abundant goodness, fulfill my hope for me.

كريم الوجه لاخيبت ظني

عظيم المن هب فوق المناء

O You of noble countenance, do not disappoint my expectation;

O You of great beneficence, grant beyond all wishes.

عظيم الشأن ذا الاحسان هب لي

فلا حجر عليك في العطاء

O You of exalted majesty, Possessor of kindness, give to me,

for there is no restriction upon You in giving.

وهب لي منك عافية وعفوا

ولاربى تكلني للسواء

And grant me well-being and pardon from Yourself,

and, my Lord, do not leave me to anyone but You.

وأختم لي بخير عند موتي

وكن لي حين أدفن في الثراء

And grant me a good ending at my death,

and be with me when I am buried in the earth.

ووفقني وقومني على سنة

المختار خير الأنبياء

And guide me aright and make me upright upon the way

of the Chosen One, the best of the prophets.

عليه الله صلى ثم سلم

عداد الأذكياء والأغبياء

May God bless him, then grant him peace,

as many times as there are clever people and foolish ones.
