يا عمران زرت سيدنا الرسول

يا عمران زرت سيدنا الرسول

وكذا الشيخين والزهر البتول

وكذا الشيخين والزهر البتول

O Imran, you have visited our master, the Messenger,

O Imran, you visited our Prophet

And likewise the two shaykhs and the Radiant, Chaste One,

And the two Sheikhs and the Virgin Flower

وبقيع الغرقد المشهور

وبقيع الغرقد المشهور

ذي فيه أهل البيت والصحب الفحول

ذي فيه أهل البيت والصحب الفحول

And famed Baqi al-Gharqad,

And Al-Baqi' the famous graveyard

Where lie the People of the House and the eminent Companions.

Wherein lie the Family of the Prophet and the valiant companions

سلموا عني وزوروا واذكروا

سلموا عني وزوروا واذكروا

من ذنوبه به قيدته بالكبول

من ذنوبه به قيدته بالكبول

Convey my greetings, pay your visits, and remember

Convey my greetings, visit them, remember me

The one whose sins have bound him there in shackles.

Fettered as I am by my sins

وارحموني واسعفوا لي تؤجروا

وارحموني واسعفوا لي تؤجروا

وارتجوا من فضل مولانا القبول

وارتجوا من فضل مولانا القبول

Have mercy on me and come to my aid; you will be rewarded.

Have mercy upon me, help me, so you may be rewarded

And hope for acceptance through the bounty of our Lord.

And hope for acceptance from our Master

وإذا زرتم قبا أو أحدا

وإذا زرتم قبا أو أحدا

فهبولي وفروعي والأصول

فهبولي وفروعي والأصول

And when you visit Quba or Uhud,

And whenever you visit a grave or a loved one

Then grant me, my branches and roots,

Pray for me, my children, and my roots

دعوة صالحة جامعة

دعوة صالحة جامعة

تجمع الخيرات تشملها شمول

تجمع الخيرات تشملها شمول

A righteous, all-embracing prayer,

A righteous comprehensive prayer

That gathers good things, encompassing them all.

That encompasses all good and is all-encompassing

ولكم مثل الذي تدعون لي

ولكم مثل الذي تدعون لي

جاء في الأخبار هذا والنقول

جاء في الأخبار هذا والنقول

And you shall have the like of what you pray for me;

And you will receive the likes of what you pray for me

This has come down in reports and transmitted accounts.

As told in the narrations and sayings

ثم ذكرزين باعلوى بنا

ثم ذكرزين باعلوى بنا

وكذا هاشم ومن ثم حلول

وكذا هاشم ومن ثم حلول

Then remind Zayn Ba Alawi of us,

Then mention me in the Highest Company

And likewise Hashim, and whoever resides there,

And likewise for Hashim and those who came later

من محب او رحيم مشفق

من محب او رحيم مشفق

حل في تلك المواطن والطلول

حل في تلك المواطن والطلول

Whether a loving friend or a merciful, compassionate soul,

Any loving, merciful, caring soul

Who has settled in those abodes and ruins.

Who resided in those places and hills

يرحم المسكين يرثى للذي

يرحم المسكين يرثى للذي

ضاع عمره في ذنوب وفضول

ضاع عمره في ذنوب وفضول

Who shows the poor man mercy and pities the one

Have mercy upon this poor soul, grieve for one

Whose life was wasted in sins and idle pursuits.

Whose life was lost in sins and transgressions

يرتجي منكم دعاء صالحا

يرتجي منكم دعاء صالحا

يدفع المكروه يجلب كل سول

يدفع المكروه يجلب كل سول

He hopes for a righteous prayer from you,

Hoping for a righteous prayer from you

To ward off harm and fulfill every wish.

To ward off harm and bring about well-being

وصلاة الله تغشى المصطفى

وصلاة الله تغشى المصطفى

ماهمي المزن وما سلن السيول

ماهمي المزن وما سلن السيول

And may God's blessing enfold the Chosen One,

And may the prayers of God envelop the Chosen One

As long as rainclouds pour and torrents flow;

As long as the stars shine and the torrents flow

وعلى آل وأصحاب له

وعلى آل وأصحاب له

وعلى التابع في وردا وقفول

وعلى التابع في وردا وقفول

And upon his family and Companions,

And upon his Family and Companions

And upon his followers, in coming and returning.

And upon the Followers, eternally

وسلام الله يغشاه ويغيشاهم

وسلام الله يغشاه ويغيشاهم

ما سرن عيس بالحمول

ما سرن عيس بالحمول

And may God's peace enfold him and them,

And may God's greetings and peace enshroud them

As long as pale camels journey with their loads.

As long as the stars journey through the cosmos

ولك الحمد إلهي والثنا

ولك الحمد إلهي والثنا

ولك الشكر بأحسن ما نقول

ولك الشكر بأحسن ما نقول

And Yours is praise, my God, and acclaim;

To You belongs all praise and glory, my God

And Yours is thanks, in the finest words we speak.

And to You belongs all thanks, however we express it

وادع لي يا عمر الجفري عسى

وادع لي يا عمر الجفري عسى

نفحة تأتي بما فوق العقول

نفحة تأتي بما فوق العقول

And pray for me, O Umar al-Jifri; perhaps

And make dua for me, O Imran Al-Jafri, perhaps

A breath of grace will bring what lies beyond reason,

A breeze may bring that which transcends intellect

من قرى ليست على قلب بشر

من قرى ليست على قلب بشر

يا عمر تخطر ولا فيها تجول

يا عمر تخطر ولا فيها تجول

Of hospitality that no human heart,

From realms unattainable to the human heart

O Umar, can conceive, nor can you roam within it.

O Imran, you ponder, but cannot reach

نسأل الرحمن لم نسأل بشر

نسأل الرحمن لم نسأل بشر

يا عمر تخطر ولا فيها نجول

يا عمر تخطر ولا فيها نجول

We ask the All-Merciful; we have not asked a mortal.

We ask the Most Merciful, not any mortal

O Umar, [it cannot] enter thought, nor do we roam within it.

O Imran, you ponder, but find no access

نسأل الرحمن لم تسأل بشر

نسأل الرحمن لم تسأل بشر

لم يخب من يسأل البر الوصول

لم يخب من يسأل البر الوصول

We ask the All-Merciful; you have not asked a mortal.

We ask the Most Merciful, not any mortal

None who asks the Beneficent, Bountiful One has been disappointed.

He who asks the Lord will never be deprived of attainment
